Designer, Diane Mazza follows in the footsteps of her family’s long-established connection to jewelry that began in the nineteenth century in Italy and that her grandfather brought to the United States at the beginning of the twentieth century. Her father Hugo continues the tradition by manufacturing fine fashion jewelry as Diane makes her own mark on the family business at Mazza/Bartholomew Ltd.

Diane’s jewelry designs draw inspiration from her Italian heritage and studies of the Renaissance. Her mother Eleanor’s interior design background has inspired and influenced her use of color. A wide ranging palette of colored gemstones and lustrous pearls are most often the essential part of her designs, as demonstrated by her signature flowers for Diane’s Mark, the eighteen karat division of Mazza/Bartholomew Ltd.

Diane has lived in Paris and Florence and travels to Europe each year. Following the fashion trends of the American and European runways, she designs a collection for today’s modern woman. She understands that women in this mass-market world are always searching for ways to individualize their wardrobes. Her jewelry provides that outlet in this fashion-led market. Her award–winning Tuscan Leaves Collection and her current Flora and Czarina Collections are characterized by an extensive use of floral motifs and nature’s “critters,” hallmarks of her design style.

Diane works and resides in New York City. She has a passion for travel and began collecting glass and sterling Christmas ornaments on past holidays in Europe. Her hobby has inspired a limited edition sterling ornament collection, for Mazza/Bartholomew Ltd.
